Overview
A web based application to create instant trading insights for major crudes value, marginal economics, pricing and crude properties in all available regions for crude and feedstock traders. The tool that existed before was based on Excel, bloated with features, slow and impractical to use, and had allot of other pain points. Unable to maintain the data and almost every action took the Excel a few minutes to load the data for the user to be able to look at it.
Responsibilities
User experience design, product strategy, user interface design and interaction design. I was expected to translate business and user requirements into a fully functional product that would transform complex data and business logic into a single source of truth application

Results
Building technology for trading & supply presents a unique set off challenges. We developed and maintained robust internal processes to ensure we could comply with Shell's rightly rigorous legal and data management standards. Yet, this ongoing product development proves that my core belief in simple, useful and beautiful solutions is a recipe for success no matter what the sector.
Although the daily active user numbers might not seem particularly high, the Shell application delivers massive value to its user base. This is a high-impact tool, designed for users with critical needs within one of the world’s largest supply chains. The application generates millions in value for its users by optimizing operations, streamlining workflows, and providing real-time data that leads to significant efficiency gains. For those who rely on it, the app is indispensable, directly contributing to their bottom line and operational success.
